Corporate Partnerships

Companies that invest in GRID Alternatives are investing in positive, measurable impacts in their communities and demonstrating their commitment to environmental sustainability.

GRID offers multiple ways for businesses to participate in our work, from sponsoring team-building workdays for their employees, to Solarthon event sponsorships, to organization-level investments that help us bring our successful model to new states and new communities. For more information on partnering with us contact Maura McKnight at (510) 731-1321.

Organization-wide partnerships

An investment in GRID Alternatives is an investment in healthy, sustainable communities and clean air. Benefits to partners can include high-visibility signage at project sites, co-branding and media opportunities, team-building solar installations for employees and executives, and visibility at our Solarthon events.

In-kind partnerships

Equipment donations help GRID Alternatives keep installation costs down and provide money-saving solar to even more families. Partners' products are handled by thousands of volunteers each year, and we offer our organization-wide partners all the benefits of our financial supporters.

Team-building solar workdays

Give your team a fun and educational experience installing solar for a local family. We offer custom sponsorship packages for companies wishing to sponsor workdays in multiple locations or multiple homes at one time.

Executive team builds

Executive wordays are a great way to improve communication and cooperation among your company's top leaders while putting your corporate values into action. These workdays are highly customizable for busy schedules!

Solarthon

Solarthon is GRID Alternatives' signature fundraising event and solar block party where hundreds of sponsors, volunteers and job trainees come together to install solar for multiple families in a single event. Solarthon sponsors can sponsor a home for their employee volunteers or partners, or provide general event sponsorship.
