VanRay came to GRID Alternatives from the Youth Build organization, where he worked for 23 years. He actually graduated from Youth Build in 1999, where he received his diploma. He felt that GRID was the perfect place to advance his skills, talents, and abilities while joining a dynamic team!
VanRay has a passion for sharing his knowledge of the different trades in the construction industry and will be able to bring this incredible skill to the GRID Workforce Department. He completed the training to become an OSHA Construction Outreach Trainer in 2022 and teaches OSHA 10 and 30 hour classes. He was born and raised in the city of Compton and has a passion for giving back to his community. His interests are spending time with family and friends, playing sports, and long walks on the beach.
