Roll up your sleeves with GRID!

Solarthon is GRID Alternatives' flagship community installation event, a fundraiser and solar block party that brings together people from all walks of life - individual fundraisers, corporate sponsors, job trainees, community leaders and the homeowners themselves - to install multiple solar PV systems in one community.

Get on a roof at Solarthon

Sponsoring Solarthon directly helps GRID Alternatives continue to bring clean, affordable energy and hands-on solar installation experience to families and workers that need it most. Participants get hands-on experience installing solar for local families, network with other solar enthusiasts and solar installion companies, and have fun while making a difference in their community. For corporate sponsors, the event is an opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to environmental and community sustainability. Confirmed 2015 Solarthon events include:

Bay Area, CA (Richmond), September 26

Tribal Solarthon, September 29-October 9

Los Angeles, CA (Pacoima), October 10

Central Coast, CA (Los Alamos), October 17

Central Valley, CA (Biola), October 21-24

North Valley, CA (Sacramento), November 14
