Group Projects

Due to tremendous interest in our Solar Affordable Housing Program, GRID Alternatives' volunteer opportunities are significantly oversubscribed. As a result, we can only set aside dedicated group projects for a limited number of groups, including:

Group sponsored workdays are events where groups of GRID Alternatives supporters - for example, a campus club, an alumni association, or a civic group - work together to complete a low-income solar installation in their community while raising funds to expand GRID Alternatives' work throughout California. Group sponsors must be committed to achieving a collective fundraising goal before the project installation date. This is a great opportunity to do team building while learning about solar technology and supporting your local community. If your group is interested in exploring a group sponsored workday, please contact Tracie Troxler, Event and Development Coordinator, at (510) 652-4730 x316 or ttroxler@gridalternatives.org.
