Solar Champions are our individual sponsors for Solarthon, volunteers and supporters who want not only to get up on the roof and help their community, but also help GRID Alternatives Central Valley continue providing green-tech job training and affordable, clean energy for families that need it most.

Our 2012 Solar Champions commit to raising a minimum of $150 for our work, and in exchange get to learn new skills, make friends, network with industry professionals, and be part of a fun and invaluable community effort. Prizes will go to Solar Champions that beat their fundraising goals!

• Create your own fundraising page at FirstGiving.com. FirstGiving's Facebook application also allows you to raise money through your Facebook network.

• Post your donor sign-up sheet in your company lunchroom or on your community bulletin board.
• Ask your company for a matching gift. Matching donation programs are a benefit that many companies offer their employees. It never hurts to ask!
