SASH Program: Eligibility Criteria

The SASH Program offers a way for low-income homeowners to access the benefits of solar energy – lower utility bill expenses and less electricity usage – without bearing the majority of the substantial up-front cost of installing a solar panel system. Depending on your income level, you may be eligible for an entirely free system, or a highly subsidized system.

To determine if you qualify for the SASH Program, please contact GRID Alternatives.  Some of the questions GRID Alternatives will ask include the following.

  • Do you receive electrical service from Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), Southern California Edison (SCE), or San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E)?
  • Do you own your own home and live in it?

If you answered “Yes” to all of the above questions, you are probably eligible for the SASH Program
