North Valley Staff

Bob has over 20 years of experience as Executive Director in five nonprofit organizations including the Solar Living Institute in Hopland, CA, and several human service organizations. He has a BA in Business Administration from Furman University and a MBA from Walden University and additional graduate studies in public administration. Growing up in Oklahoma where his father was a research chemist with a major oil company, Bob learned early about the limits of an oil-based economy, and, as a result, is an ardent advocate for solar power and other alternative energies. He enjoys reading, economics, and spending time with his family.

Construction

Mike Sharma has been both a Solar & General Contractor for many years, focusing primarily with contracting on owner/builder projects. His interest in alternative energy is in direct correlation to creating and living a less impactful life. Grid Alternatives' mission of broadening solar technology's access meshes well with his life philosophies. Mike's favorite quote is "If everyone is giving, then everyone is receiving".
