GRID Alternatives Greater Los Angeles (GLA) offers many ways for businesses to participate in our work, from sponsoring team-building workdays for their employees, to event sponsorships, to organization-level investments that help us bring our successful model to new states and new communities.

Corporate Partnerships

An investment in GRID Alternatives Greater Los Angeles (GLA) is an investment in healthy, sustainable communities and clean energy. We develop customized partnerships for companies that want to sponsor one installation, multiple installations throughout the year, or installations in multiple regions. Benefits to partners can include team-building solar installations for employees and executives, high-visibility signage at project sites, co-branding and media opportunities, as well as recognition on social media and on our website.

In-kind Partnerships

Equipment donations help GLA keep installation costs down and provide money-saving solar to even more families. Partners' products are handled by thousands of volunteers each year, and we offer our organization-wide partners all the benefits of our financial supporters, as well as recognition on social media and on our website.

Team-Building Solar Workdays Tax-deductible Sponsorship Level: $5,000

GLA’s experienced solar installers will teach and lead your team to install a solar electric system for a local family. Projects can be scheduled any time during the year at a location near your offices, or during our annual Solarthon event.

  • All volunteer spaces are reserved for your company (8 – 12 per day for 1- 2 days); spaces can be reserved for solar job trainees upon request as well.
  • Photos of your team shared are on our social media channels, and  links to your company on GLA’s website and e-newsletter
  • Every project includes detailed safety training and protocols. Volunteers are covered under GRID Alternatives’ insurance.

Solarthon!

Join us for our next Solarthon - our annual solar block party and largest installation of the year.  This event helps us raise funds and create awareness for the work we do throughout Los Angeles, Ventura and Orange County. In 2014, we held our 5th annual Solarthon in Santa Ana, CA, where more than 100 participants—volunteers, individual sponsors, corporate teams, job trainees and homeowners themselves—came together to install solar electric systems for five families. Over their 30-year lifetime, the solar electric systems are expected to create over $159,000 in savings for the families.
