Bank of America’s Investment to Aid Local Families

GRID Alternatives Central Valley is pleased to announce the acceptance of a $10,000 grant through Bank of America’s Charitable Foundation that works to connect communities in order to help improve economic futures by addressing issues relating to jobs, housing and basic human services.  Bank of America Charitable Foundation’s focus on workforce development fits with GRID Alternatives’ mission to make renewable energy technology and job training accessible to underserved communities. “We are truly grateful for being the recipients of this grant and we look forward to continuing to impact local families with the funds given” stated Regional Director Tom Esqueda.

GRID Alternatives is a 501(c) (3) certified non-profit organization that brings together community partners, volunteers and job trainees to implement solar power and energy efficiency for low-income families, providing energy cost savings, valuable hands-on experience, and a source of clean, local energy that benefits us all. The Central Valley office has installed more than 881 photovoltaic systems and has helped families save $25,297,809 during the lifetime of the system.

The support from Bank of America Charitable Foundation will help families in Fresno and Madera counties save money on electrical bills by installing photovoltaic systems on the rooftop of their homes.

We are proud to announce that Bank of America has been a supporter of GRID Alternatives Central Valley since 2010 and we look forward to continuing our successful relationship with Bank of America in helping underserved families in the Central Valley.
