Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing is known for great beers and lively atmosphere on the west side of Santa Cruz. Every Thursday, their “Thank You Thursday” program sponsors one local non-profit that benefits the local community. On Thursday, December 4th, we have been lucky enough to have been chosen for sponsorship. One dollar of every beer sold this entire day will go towards supporting GRID Alternatives’ Central Coast mission to make renewable energy technology and training available to underserved communities. GRID Alternatives has already installed over a dozen solar electric systems for low-income families throughout Santa Cruz County, and several more are planned for next year. Everyone from the area is invited to join, have a tasty beer and learn more about the work GRID Alternatives does to benefit the local community. David Garti, Outreach and Program Officer, will be on site at 5:00 p.m. with savory treats so come out and join him at the Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing tap room and beer garden.
