“After spending the day working side by side with the homeowners, I am confident my time had purpose. GRID is…providing an opportunity for people to make connections, learn new skills, save money and energy and contribute to the legacy we leave behind for our children.” – Solarthon volunteer

Solarthon 2013: good news from Richmond

Solarthon is our largest installation event of the year, an annual solar block party to raise funds for and awareness of our work around the Bay Area. On September 7, 2013 we brought together over 150 people--job trainees, employee volunteers from our corporate sponsors, and individual fundraisers, aka "solar champs"--to help install solar electric systems for eight families in the City of Richmond.

Watch our video to get inspired, check out some of our amazing event sponsors and don't forget to view our Storify timeline highlighting some of the best moments and photos from the day!

Contact Mara Meaney-Ervin to found out how you can be a part of Solarthon 2014!
