News : Wells Fargo, Swords to Plowshares and GRID Alternatives Help Veterans Build Solar Job Skills

At GRID Alternatives' recent Bay Area Solarthon, a team of Wells Fargo employee volunteers worked side-by-side with job trainees from Swords to Plowshares to install solar panels for a low-income family in San Francisco's Bayview District. Swords to Plowshares works to "heal the wounds of war" and restore dignity, hope, and self-sufficiency to all veterans in need by providing employment training and other critical services to veterans in the San Francisco Bay Area.

As a major supporter of our workforce development efforts throughout California, Wells Fargo is playing a huge role in helping GRID Alternatives provide job training and hands-on experience in the growing field of solar installation to trainees like Yaro at Swords to Plowshares, and thousands of other folks like him.
