Stan Greschner Named a Climate Champion

Last week Green for All released its annual list of Climate Champions, and among them was our very own Stan Greschner, Vice President of Government Relations and Market Development. Stan is one of twelve leaders across the nation being honored for their work to ensure that people from all communities benefit from the growing clean energy economy.

At GRID Alternatives, Stan leads state and federal regulatory and government engagement. He directed the nation’s first low-income solar incentive program (SASH), and led the successful campaign to pass California’s Equitable Access to Solar Energy Act (AB 217) in 2013.

Today Stan works with policymakers, regulators, utilities, solar companies, and community organizations throughout the country to expand solar access and jobs to underserved communities. In particular, Stan works to ensure that solar policies and programs are inclusive and benefit all Americans, regardless of geographic location, race, ethnicity or income-level.

“At GRID we’ve been trying to push and lead the conversation that everybody should have access to solar energy and jobs, and to widen access to communities not yet participating in the clean energy economy,” he notes. “In doing so, we strive to make sure that these policies and programs maximize the benefit and impact to the families and communities we aim to serve.”

Thank you to Green for All for recognizing Stan’s work and for highlighting the importance of inclusivity and access in the clean energy industry. Read more about each of the champions and their work here.
