Following the 2015 Valley Fire, GRID Alternatives Bay Area/North Coast  began looking for opportunities to pair rebuilt homes with solar and its associated cost savings. Earlier this month, on a scorching 119 degree day, the Wasik Family became the first fire survivors to receive a GRID solar system, nearly a year to the day after moving in to their rebuilt home.

Our national Tribal Program has worked since 2010 to help tribes achieve their renewable energy goals with solar, and today we’re thrilled to announce the expansion of that work with our new Tribal Solar Accelerator Fund!
