GRID Alternatives Greater Los Angeles will be tabling at the LA GREEN ECONOMY FORUM co-sponsored by The Los Angeles Apollo Alliance and the AD47 Environmental Commission. Join Assembly Speaker-Elect Karen Bass, DWP General Manager David Nahai and Los Angeles City Councilmember Herb Wesson to explore strategies that connect inner city communities to the Green Economy. WHAT: Los Angeles Green Economy Forum

WHEN: Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 12:00 noon

WHO: Approximately 500 Los Angeles Residents, including Community Residents from South LA, East LA, West LA, Echo Park, and Koreatown; Electrical, Public and Building Trade Workers; and Environmental Advocates

WHERE: Dorsey High School, 3537 Farmdale Avenue, Los Angeles 90016 (East of La Brea, between Exposition and Rodeo)

Come visit the GRID Alternatives Greater Los Angeles table at the April 12 Earth Day festival sponsored by the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County! Visit us and see if you qualify for our Solar Affordable Housing Program, sign up to volunteer on our installations, and get face paintings for the kids!

Come join the Stanford Campus Chapter of GRID Alternatives for an evening of salsa dancing, socializing and fun. Proceeds from this event will help the Stanford Chapter reach their fundraising goals to install their first solar electric system for an East Palo Alto family.

The event will be held at Toyon Hall on the Stanford Campus. Doors will open at 8pm, and the Stanford Salsneros will teach beginner's salsa lessons from 8-9pm. Costs for the event are $5 for students and $10 for community members. Please dress comfortably. Food will not be served.

If you are unable to attend but would still like to support the Stanford Campus Chapter with their fundraising efforts, you can make an easy online donation through their fundraising webpage.

Directions for the event:

Get to the Stanford Campus, find one of the parking lots named L-90, L-81, or L-63 on the campus map, then walk to Toyon Hall from one of those lots.

These residents are all getting their homes rehabilitated by the Silicon Valley Chapter of the non-profit organization Rebuilding Together

This training will be held at GRID Alternatives Oakland office located at 1610 Harrison St. (On the corner of 17th and Harrison, 3 blocks from the 19th Street BART station).
