Roseanne Martinez

Hot summers and frigid winters mean high energy bills for Roseanne Martinez of Redwood Valley. With her electrical costs slashed to about a third of the amount before getting solar, Roseanne uses her savings to buy things for her home that she couldn’t have afforded before. Other members of her tribal community, the Redwood Band of Pomo Indians, are very interested in getting solar and have reached out to her — she’s gotten both her niece and aunt connected with GRID Alternatives, and solar has made a positive impact in their lives as well. Roseanne appreciates both the environmental and economic benefits that solar has provided for her and her community.
